Jade Sushi is not good

Well I moved close to it so I figured I would give it a try. In my opinion it was prety bad. I had a spicy salmon roll and a caterpillar roll. If anyone else has had something there that was good let me know and I will try it again.

a california roll i had at jade was actually frozen in the center! that was about a year ago...so maybe they have improved since. i also didn't like their chinese food at all. we are spoiled in austin with many great places to eat. no time to waste on places like jade. :D

dood.  the maguro sashimi i got there was not only rubbery... it was GRAY.  and dont give me lip by saying it was the part that was next to the skin.  if their maguro sashimi was that terrible i cant imagine how little attention they pay to their rolls.  and according to homecookin' the center of his california roll was frozen!!  does this suggest they use frozen rolls, that they thaw out?  even if it was a fluke, that is still one time too many for something like that to happen, especially since you are dealing with raw fish.  yes, i am a foodie. i love food. so i put food up to high standards because that's the exactly the way it should be. so if all you care about is a great deal for sushi then you should stricktly buy your sushi from h-e-b. after all, who cares about quality when the price is more important, right? WRONG!

I am a regular at Jade happy hour (5-7pm) and have NEVER had a problem with their food, I think it is the best value for good sushi I have ever seen. Their specialty rolls are the best, namely - the Jade roll. Some of you may have gone not too recently with another sushi chef, but I have been there 40+ times and have never encountered any problem whatsoever.
