Maybe you've seen the sign in the window? (srsly, that sign actually says "Maki" now :-). Maki, your favorite roll-your-own sushi vendor, is opening up a new location downtown at 2nd and San Antonio Street. Look for an early March opening.

Mizu Prime Steak and Sushi is a restaurant located in the hills of West Austin. Mizu features prime steaks with a full sushi bar and innovative new American cuisine. The food and wine selection are phenomenal and the beautiful patio is accompanied with miles of breath-taking views of the Hill Country. Mizo also contains a modern sophisticated bar for after dinner hours, The Branch. The Branch offers specialty cocktails made fresh from ingredients grown on the property. (I recommend the Lychee Mint Martini)

I personally work that right now. Though I might be quiting soon, I really hope they stay in business. They stressed over some financial difficulties to open Yama, therefore they cannot afford much for their advertisement, and they are not getting enough customers as they are supposed to get!
They have incredibly rate of repeating customers, and they constantly receive compliments about their food and service, so it's definitely worth for you to come in here and try!

A few weeks ago, Maki Toki finally opened. They are at 1910 West Braker Lane, Building 3, Suite 300. Their telephone number is +1 512 832 0200.
The interior reminds me a little of Food Shui (minimal decoration, nothing to absorb sound). They have five tables for two along a wall, and a bar that seats about twenty facing two wide screen television monitors.
Their menu is limited. Two pieces of nigiri cost $2.50, while rolls cost $5.00 or $8.00 depending on type.
I am not a connoisseur, so I will let others evaluate the food.

Second time at Hayashi's and I'm still impressed! Must try this new venue that just opened up in Georgetown, I highly recommend it.

First of all I love this website that I encountered through Austin Tidbits. I love to try sushi restaurants and have a few favorites, but I came across a new restaurant in Georgetown while visiting some friends. We had dinner at this loungy venue and the sushi was unbelievable!! The music was great and the staff was nice. I will definatley eat at Hayashi's again when I'm in Georgetown. It's kind of hidden in the Wolf Town Ranch Center so don't miss it.
